How Anti-Wrinkle Treatment works

HOW DO WRINKLES FORM?

Wrinkles are a natural part of the ageing process. With age, our skin gets thinner, drier and we lose elastin. The ability of our skin to protect itself is reduced as we age. Eventually, wrinkles, creases, and lines form on our skin.

Continuous muscle contraction is also another major contributor to facial wrinkles. Continuous muscle movement causes 'dynamic wrinkles' which only appear when the muscle is used.

Over time, if untreated, these wrinkles can become 'static wrinkles' which means they become permanently etched in our skin.

HOW DO ANTI-WRINKLE INJECTIONS WORK?

Whilst the face is in motion the lines that appear are known as dynamic wrinkles, however, repeated movement over time forms deeper lines and folds known as static wrinkles.

Anti-Wrinkle Injectables work to prevent the formation of static wrinkles by stopping the signal between the nerve and muscle.

The decreased movement in the muscle places less stress on the skin helping you maintain a fresh and youthful appearance. This treatment is most effective when used as a preventative measure.

Anti-Wrinkle Injectables are made from a purified protein that temporarily causes facial muscles to relax, softening lines and wrinkles and reducing the severity of visible wrinkles.

Wrinkle Treatment Areas

FOREHEAD LINES

Forehead lines are horizontal lines that form through the repetitive use of your eyebrows. Over time, these dynamic wrinkles form permanent lines.

FROWN LINES

Frown lines are the vertical lines between your eyes and are also known as your ‘glabella lines’. Repeated muscle movement and contraction leads to permanent static wrinkles.

CROW'S FEET

Also referred to as 'smile lines' or 'character lines'. These lines appear on the outside corners of the eyes.

BUNNY LINES

Also known as nose lines, can appear from the constant scrunching of the nose muscle. They appear as horizontal wrinkles which form across the ridge of the nose.

VERTICAL LIP LINES

Vertical lip lines appear on the top and bottom lip. They can be defined lines that become apparent with any movement of the mouth.

CHIN

As we age our chin muscle pulls upward forming a line between the bottom lip and chin in an arch. This muscle can be relaxed using anti-wrinkle injections taking pressure off the chin and causing the line to soften.

Gummy Smile

The traditional ‘gummy smile’ treatment involves tiny injections that produce a result over the following 2 weeks that then lasts for 3-6 months. This treatment can also be used to subtly balance a smile that has an uneven appearance.

At CS Aesthetic Injector we also use lip filler treatment to balance smiles and reduce gum show. We will examine your facial muscles, your teeth and your smile in order to work out the best treatment option for you.

LIP FLIP

As lip flip involves meticulously injecting small amounts of anti-wrinkles injectable into the orbicularis oris muscle, which is situated just above the upper lip. This temporarily relaxes the muscle in your upper lip, causing it to roll upward slightly. This creates a more defined and full shape that doesn’t disappear when you smile.

Non-Surgical Brow Lift

Lifted, arched brows can make the eyes appear larger, more relaxed, refreshed and wider. Eyebrow positioning is both genetic and influenced by age – as we get older our eyebrows and upper eyelids can droop due to anatomical changes in the skin, underlying fat and bone.

Brow lift treatment uses micro-injections in the area between and around the eyebrows to relax the muscles that pull the eyebrows down. The result will gradually appear over 2 weeks, for a result that lasts for 3-6 months.

Jawline Slimming and Bruxism Treatment

This injectable treatment slims the face by reducing the size of the jaw-clenching muscles, known as the masseters. Jawline slimming works in a similar way by reducing the muscle size in the jaw area. The result of this is softening of a square-shaped face and slimming of the lower face. A side effect of this treatment is a reduction in jaw clenching and so those with teeth clenching and grinding issues will find that this also improves following treatment.

This treatment is extremely quick and comfortable with no down time at all, and we recommend that you maintain results by having it two or three times a year.

Hyperhidrosis/ Excessive sweating

Hyperhidrosis of the armpits is excessive sweating from the armpits which occurs because the sweat glands are over-active. Hyperhidrosis can also occur in other areas of the body, for example the hands and feet. The condition can cause people problems in their social and working lives and can cause a lack of confidence.

This treatment involves tiny injections into the skin and works by temporarily blocking the chemical signals from the nerves that stimulate the sweat glands. The benefit of this treatment is that it can reduce, and in most cases stop, the sweat produced in your armpits for up to 6 months. This can improve your confidence and social life as you no longer have to worry about the smell, sweat marks on your clothes or having to carry a spare top around with you. Most people find that they can stop using deodorants completely whilst having this treatment.
